Interning at WIT?

It's learning in the moment, on the job.

WIT has mad love for its interns. They have made amazing contributions to the growth and development of the company. Each WIT internship is designed to meet the needs of the organization while utilizing and building skills for each intern in question. We have developed two internship tracks to choose from:

WIT Artistic Intern
Have a dream of taking improv to exciting new levels? Work closely with our Artistic/Executive Director Mark Chalfant and act as an Assistant to the Director on WIT’s production for the Capital Fringe Festival (TBA). Attend rehearsals, gain insight into the bold artistic processes associated with WIT shows, and connect with some of the most talented improvisers in Washington.

WIT Operations Intern
Have an interest in improv/comedy and arts administration? This is the track for you. Choose to work closely in one of the following areas - marketing, communications, development, or classes - and gain valuable experience in helping the operations of a small non-profit theater.

Internships do not include a stipend; however, there is potential for earned income through front of house duties and other production-related work.

Applications for WIT Summer Internships are now closed.
